Tomon Fox Returns to New York Giants Practice Squad
Former UNC Star Re-Joins NFL Ranks
Fox, a key member of the 2019 Giants squad, has been re-signed to the practice squad, providing depth at the linebacker position.
The New York Giants have announced the re-signing of former UNC linebacker Tomon Fox to their practice squad. Fox, who was a key member of the Giants' 2019 squad, will provide depth at the linebacker position.
Fox was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He quickly made an impact, starting 10 games and recording 48 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception.
Fox was released by the Giants in September 2020 but was re-signed to the practice squad a few weeks later. He was promoted to the active roster in November 2020 and played in two games.
Fox was released by the Giants again in August 2021 but has now been re-signed to the practice squad. He will provide depth at the linebacker position behind starters Blake Martinez, Tae Crowder, and Oshane Ximines.
The Giants are currently 3-1 and are looking to make a playoff run this season. Fox's return to the team could provide a boost to their defense.
