NorthWestern Energy: Power Restored to Some Customers
A power outage is affecting thousands of Missoula residents this evening. NorthWestern Energy crews are working to restore power, but there is no estimated time of restoration at this time.
The outage began at approximately 6:00 p.m. and is affecting customers in the downtown area, as well as the University of Montana campus.
NorthWestern Energy says that the outage was caused by a downed power line. Crews are on the scene and are working to repair the line.
In the meantime, customers are being asked to conserve energy and to avoid using appliances that require a lot of power.
NorthWestern Energy will provide updates on the outage as they become available.
